To all those who watched "Tooth Fairy 1" starred by "The Rock" (Dwayne Johnson), sad to say that you won't be seeing him on "Tooth Fairy 2" (2012). It's because the lead actor on this second series of the film was "Larry the Cable Guy". This movie actually presents a whole new different story without any relationship to the previous film.
As the movie started, the settings were at the country side. Larry Guthrie was a Cowboy guy with a pretty hot girl friend named, "Brooke Miller" (Erin Beute). How did he ended up with such a beautiful and lovely girl friend like that in the first place?
To tell you more about Larry, he was the kind of guy who doesn't seem to know the most valuable part of his life. He actually thought that the best part of his life was being so lucky especially when he won the grand prize sports car on a contest organized by "Beauguard Bo Billings" (David Mackey). His miraculous winning even gained fame known as, "The Metro County Miracle".
Unfortunately, Larry lost his hot girl friend where she ended up as a "bride-to-be" by the running mayoral candidate, Mr. Bo Billings. This made Larry jealous and wanted his girl friend back pretty bad so he decided to do something.
Brooke was a school teacher for the very young kids. It was very surprising that she alone takes care of the entire children.
But, how did Brooke and Larry broke up?
Brooke was actually looking for a man who can stood up for a family. She gave Larry a lot of chance to prove himself for a change but he never did. He remains the Larry guy who keeps on boasting about himself as the luckiest guy on Earth due to his miraculous bowling shot that gained him the fame. Also, it was already been 1 year since the time that they broke up. Larry just stood up a few months before his girl friend was about to get married to Mr. Bo Billings.
Out of Larry's jealousy seeing Mr. Bo and his girl friend kissing right in-front him, he uttered some words to the little kid drawing something on a piece of paper. He just told to the kid that growing up stinks it's because things never turn out the way you plan it to be. Worst, he described that True Love was like a fairy tale "just like the tooth fairies". This hurt the kid so much and went running for Brooke while crying.
During the night, the "Tooth Fairy Land Corrections Office" had sent Larry a notice. It was a notice that came from the "Department of Dissemination of Disbelief". After reading the notice, he was transformed into one fat and funny looking fairy wearing pink ballerina outfit with pink pair of wings.
He was then magically summoned into the Fairy Land Correction Office where he met "Nyx" (Erin Beute). She was one little cute girl who claims to be a "Case Worker".
As Larry's punishment, he will be serving as a Tooth Fairy where he needs to collect a total of 10 tooth in ten days. And, he needs to collect these tooth from the children at Metro County. If he fails, Nyx threatened him to take his best memory.
Tooth Fairy 2 movie is perfect for children and perhaps some adult who enjoy watching comedy film. What actually made me watch this movie from the beginning to the end was that, I find it very funny.
Of course, the majority of viewers will surely laugh on the part when Larry gets his magical pink ballerina outfit. This often happens every time the clock hits mid-night.
Speaking more about the funny part of the movie, the funniest scene that really made me laugh so much was when Larry was invited by Mr. Bo Billing and his girl friend Brooke into their Wedding Shower. Unfortunately, the event takes place at the mid-night so Larry had to deny their offer. However, Brooke claims that she doesn't have any invited friends so Larry decided to come.
Guess what happened, Larry joined the Bridal Shower event composed of well-dressed people around. But upon hitting 12 o'clock midnight, there was nothing that he can do but to show his pink ballerina outfit to all of the guests. He even danced for them.
Overall, Tooth Fairy 2 is one interesting movie for the whole family to watch and enjoy. And since this film involves fairies, the story has a very nice and happy ending.
