"Ping Pong Table" is actually more commonly known as, "Table Tennis". This is a type of sport requiring fast pace movement hitting a light plastic ball with a paddle on the table. To make the game more challenging, there's a net at the middle.
Every game have an important rules that needs to be followed. Without it, it will result into an unfair game-play or outcome between the competing players.
When it comes to table tennis, the organization responsible in implementing the rules of this sport is the "ITTF" (International Table Tennis Federation). They are the once who manages all recognized international table tennis competitions world-wide.

Before starting a match, the player should choose who will serve the ball first. Tossing a coin is the most common method used by players.
3. Countering the Ball
The player who don't get to serve the ball needs to counter-hit the ball once served. If he missed then he losses the point.
4. Net
Both players when striking the ball must ensure that the ball will not get caught by the net. If the ball got caught then that's considered a loss by the player who struck it.
5. Off the Table
It is important that after hitting the ball into the table corner of the opposing player, the ball must bounce on the table surface at least once. If not where the ball directly goes off the table then that's a loss of point.
Aside from the ball, net and paddle there is also a specific requirements for the table to be used.
ITTF Standards suggest the following table dimensions:
Casual players can play at any ping pong table dimensions that they choose. However, if they tend to compete on a certain competition, they will most likely have trouble adjusting themselves on the size of the table to be used. As a result, they won't be able to perform well. This is the reason why it's best suggested to play on a table with dimensions that follows the ITTF standards.
