How to Change E or G Status to 3G/H/H+/4G/LTE Mobile Data

If you are experiencing a wireless signal status on your mobile device which is indicated by the letter E or G, it means that your internet speed connection is running slow. Fix for those with Android phones:

Step 1: Go to the Settings of your device.

Step 2: Access the “Cellular/Mobile” setting.

Step 3: Select “Voice and Data”.

Step 4: Under the mobile data, choose or Enable LTE, 3G, and 2G.

All Mobile Data Wireless Network Connection Signal

Unfortunately, not all places are covered by the LTE network. But, if it happens that you are living on an area with strong LTE network coverage then you will experience the fastest internet connection speed that a wireless mobile data can provide today. Unless, 5G get’s introduced.

Today, new models of Android phones are capable of LTE connections. This means that you can set your phone to connect to the LTE network only.

Here are the following simple steps on how to do it:

Step 1: Dial *#*#4636#*#* or *##4636##*

Step 2: Chose, “Phone Information”.

Step 3: Set the setting to “LTE only”.

Step 4: And finally, “Update” it.

Moreover, after you have selected your preferred type of mobile data network connection, this will temporarily disconnect your data connection and then re-connects again. This time, you will notice the change you made where the network that you have chosen is now what’s being shown on your device’s signal status.

GSAT Language Change Settings to English

There are actually some incidents when children or even your pets managed to grab on your GSAT’s remote control and they played it. Then, there are cases where they accidentally changed the language setting of your GSAT TV.

When this happens, it is actually pretty hard to put it back to the original language that you can understand.

Assuming that the language that you are using is English and it has been changed to other foreign language especially Chinese, Japanese, or languages then you need to follow these set of instructions:


Step 1: Access the Menu Settings. This can be done by pressing the menu button on the remote control.

Step 2: Install the app. The app will first be downloaded before it gets installed into your device. This process may take a few minutes.

Step 3: After the installation, open the app and register. When you start your registration, your PLDT Home WiFi Prepaid number will automatically get detected. Simple confirm to proceed to the next step.

How to Load through your PLDT Dashboard Home WiFi


Step 1: If you are accessing your PLDT Dashboard Home WiFi through your web browser then you need to take note of your PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi number. You can skip this part if you are using the mobile app.

Step 2: Make sure that you have enough balance on your account to cover the promo that you would like to register.

Step 3: Navigate around your dashboard and look for the load option. There, you get to choose what type of promo that you would like to register.

Prepaid PLDT Home WiFi Dashboard is not working


At some point, there are some subscribers who have trouble accessing their PLDT Home WiFi Dashboard on their devices. Technical issues like this have several possible solutions.

Thus, you can try the following for troubleshooting the issue:

- Restart your PC or mobile device. This includes your router for PC users.
- When using web browser particularly Google Chrome, switch to Incognito Mode.
- If accessing the dashboard through the link does not work, try the router IP which is 192.168.1 or simply type “myrouter.local”.

When it comes to text messaging, you will be surprised to know that you won’t be charged for your inquiries.

To contact Sky Direct via SMS, you need to follow the proper format.

If you have a concern that is in general then use the formal below:

Create a text containing the keyword, INFO then send it to 23662.

Example: INFO

Again, you won’t be charge for sending this SMS which is applicable for all mobile networks.

If your issue is something related about order Sky Direct or pay-per-view service then you should use the format below:

Create a text message containing the keyword, SKY and then send it to 23668.

While, if it is something related to prepaid concerns then use the following format:

Create an SMS message containing the keyword, PREPAID and then send it to 23668.

Using SSS Mobile App to View your Contribution Status

Finally, SSS (Social Security System) has released their mobile application which makes it convenient for their members to easily check the status of their contributions. Aside from your contributions, you can actually check almost every detail about your membership.

So apart from the status of your contributions, you can also check your salary loan, maternity, sickness, disability, retirement, and many other information that every SSS member would like to know about.

The only requirements for accessing your personal records via the SSS Mobile App are your smartphone or tablet and access to the internet.

Where to Download the SSS Mobile App


Common mobile devices today are being powered by either Android or iOS. You have to know which one of the two is supported by your device. Other than that, make sure that your smartphone or tablet is connected to a stable internet connection. It’s because you will be downloading the app.

If your mobile device is using Android then you can download your SSS Mobile App from Google Play.

On the other hand, if your device is using iOS/iPhone then you can download the app from the Apple App Store.

But before you even attempt to download the app, you need to make sure that your device meets the following system requirements:

Android
- Must have a version of 4.4 KitKat or higher.

iOS
- Must have a version of at least 8.0 or higher.

SSS Mobile App Interface


Assuming that you have already successfully downloaded the SSS Mobile app on your device, then you can now login by entering your User ID and Password.

If possible, you have to enter your login details with no errors or mistake. It’s because you are just given a total of 5 login attempts. So if you failed several times where you have incurred five invalid login attempts, the app will automatically block your account.

Moreover, SSS Mobile app’s interface is very organized. It is easy to navigate around and look for the information that you need. Thus, you definitely need this app if you are the type of member who needs constant monitoring of your account.


Below are the complete features of the current version of SSS Mobile App:

  • Check your status of benefits - Sickness, maternity, EC Medical, disability, and retirement
  • Check your loan status and balance
  • Check your last posted and total number of contributions

How to Pay Pag IBIG Fund Using GCash App

All Pag-IBIG Fund members should be happy to know that they can now pay their monthly contributions through GCash app. All you need is a mobile phone where you can install GCash’s application. And of course, mobile data is also required.

We won’t be going through all the process of installing the GCash app so as creating your account on this post. This is another topic covered on a separate article. Thus, this tutorial assumes that you already have a GCash account.

So how do you pay your monthly Pag-IBIG Fund contributions via GCash?

Step 1: Make sure that you have enough balance on your GCash account to cover your required amount of contribution for the month.


Step 2: On GCash’s Main Menu, look for the Pay Bills icon and tap on it to proceed on the next menu.


Step 3: The next menu contains a list of major services and utilities in the Philippines. Since Pag-IBIG Fund is owned and being operated by the Philippine government, you need to tap on the government icon.


Step 4: Tapping on the government icon will take you into another list of menu. The list contains all government agencies and one among them is Pag-IBIG Fund. It is arranged in alphabetical order, thus, you might need to scroll the list up then tap on the Pag IBIG option when shown.


Step 5: The Pag-IBIG option takes you into a form where you need to complete. But before you start filling those required information, you need to select the type of what you are going to pay.


There are five types of Pag-IBIG Fund programs and they are the following:

1. Members Contribution
2. Modified Pag-IBIG II Savings
3. Short-Term Load
4. Calamity Loan
5. Housing Loan

Tap on the first option which is Members Contribution.

Step 6: Complete the rest of the form.

You must enter this following information:

Account No (12-20 digits)
- If you have MID or HLID number then you only need to enter 12 digits. But if you have a PRN number then, enter your 20 digits number.

Amount
- The amount is in terms of Philippine peso currency and you can enter 1 to 8 digits.

Period Covered From
- Year and month.

Period Covered To
- Year and month.

Email Address
- Entering your email address is optional. Thus, you can leave it blank if you want. But if you have decided to put your email address, your payment receipt will be send to your email.

Step 7: Proceed by tapping on the Next button. Please be aware that you will be charged an amount of 5 pesos for this transaction. This amount will be deducted from your balance and not from the amount that you will be sending.

Thus, do not put the exact amount that you will be paying on your GCash account or your whole transaction will fail due to insufficient balance. Put some extra funds on it, at least 5 pesos.

Step 8: Your payment will immediately be processed by GCash where it will show you the receipt. If you have not entered your email address back from step 6, you can download a copy of your receipt by tapping on the icon (arrow pointing downward) at the upper right most corner of your screen.

Moreover, always keep a copy of your receipt from GCash. Thus, I highly recommend putting your email address on the form from the 6th step. It really does come useful when something unexpected went wrong on your transaction. Anyway, such incident rarely happens but it is still best to be prepared.
