My past post about the GSAT Pinoy Satellite TV does really have so many on-going issues. Some of the comments are even from haters targeted towards against me, “as If I am the owner of the GSAT”. Well, I am not.
I just happen to share it here on my blog as blogger with the aim of trying to help some of the simple technical issues.
Anyway, I do understand the hate because of so many technical issues that remains unfixed by GSAT – like they do not really care. Their technical support is even quite so hard to contact. Thus, their customers have to shift their anger towards bloggers like me. (I already deleted most of their comments)
For this reason, I think that I found the best solution. And this is to migrate from GSAT to SkyDirect.
Why Migrate from a Different Service?
In my own personal opinion, GSAT’s services might not last long enough due to their increasing number of irate customers.
So if you are one among the unsatisfied customers then you should definitely migrate to SkyDirect.
SkyDirect offers exactly the same features as the GSAT or even slightly much better basing on my own personal user experience.
Aside from the similar features or plans that they offer, the most encouraging reason why you need to migrate to SkyDirect are the following:
If you still have your GSAT receiver (working or not), SkyDirect will exchange their own receiver without any cost on your part.
I do not know why they are doing this but my speculation is that, this is their means of eliminating their competitor.
Satellite Dish
The satellite dish is the large antenna which is responsible in picking up the signal or data being processed by the receiver.
When you already have GSAT installed, SkyDirect’s own technician can use that satellite dish because their device is compatible to it.
Save from the Cost
New SkyDirect customers need to pay for everything that are required for the installation. While on the other hand, customers who have GSAT installed can greatly reduce the cost.
Provided that you already have GSAT installed and you want to migrate to SkyDirect, you may only get charged for the service fee by the technician.
However, additional fees maybe charged depending on what’s more needed by your satellite TV receiver to work.
Good Customer Support
Based on what I experienced, they do provide active and good customer support. Depending on how serious the technical issue that you are dealing with, they may dispatch their service technician to pay a visit to your place and fix the problem for you.
Conclusion
If GSAT is really giving you a headache, you should consider migrating to SkyDirect. There is also Cignal but I do not know if they also give the same offer as the SkyDirect if you surrender your receiver to them.
