Recently, I have issue with my BDO online banking account where I am unable to access it due to several failed attempt of entering my password several times. In case that you are not yet aware, failure to enter your password correctly in three consecutive attempts will cause the system to lock your account.
Before 2019, the only possible way to unlock your account is to visit the nearest BDO office near you which is a hassle because of the long line of individuals that you have to fall in line.
But before I paid a visit to their office, I tried contacting their customer for any possible alternative solution. However, they still ended up advising me to pay a visit to their near branch office.
But on this year of 2019, BDO has now a new system of opening a new online bank account. If you have an internet access at home then you can create an online account without the need of visiting BDO’s branch office.
Enrolling a new eBanking account is quick and easy. Assuming that you are already connected to the internet with your desktop or laptop computer, simply follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to BDO’s official website, www.bdo.com.ph
Step 2: On the left side navigation panel, choose the item “eBanking” then “Online Banking”. This will take you to a page about the features of enrolling to BDO’s online banking.
Step 3: When you are ready to create an account, click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 4: Agree to the Terms and Conditions by hitting the “Submit” button
Step 5: Fill-up the Online Banking Enrollment Form.
Step 6: After you have successfully filled the form and submitted it to the system, you will receive an Activation PIN code from your email and mobile number that you entered from your registration.
The PIN code consists of 6 numbers which is referred by BDO as an ATM Activation Code. Take note, this code is valid for 45 days starting from the day of your enrollment date.
Step 7: To activate your online banking account, you need to visit any BDO ATM machine.
Step 8: Assuming that you already have, insert your card on the ATM machine then choose the option “Other Services” then, “Activate Electronic Banking” which enable you to input the code. Confirm it, get your receipt and you are done with the ATM procedure.
After successfully entering the code, expect an email confirmation from BDO about the status of your enrollment. In most cases, you will be informed that your enrollment has been approved.

Common Issues about Opening a BDO Online Banking Account
I already activated my account from the ATM machine but why can’t I still access my account?
You have to give the system some time to process your account starting from the time that you activated your account. Give it at least 24 hours before you can start using your account.
I only enrolled to Online Banking but I want to add Mobile or Phone Banking, how will I do that?
Login to your BDO Online Banking account and then go to the Enrollment Services. There, you can enable your Mobile or Phone Banking.
Is there any minimum amount of balance required to enroll for online banking?
There is none. You can enroll to this service even if you have zero amount of balance.
